Central webservers ADS realm change
At the request of Identity Management Services, WebTech Services will be switching the target servers used by the central webservers IUauth authentication mechanism to the ADS domain controllers within the realm ads.iu.edu.
The change requires only a textual update to each Apache webserver and a restart of the Apache webserver application. Both the http and https Apache webservers configuration file will be updated.
The change to ads.iu.edu occured on Thursday, November 13th.
The change is transparent unless you are using .htaccess files that reference AuthKrbRealms. For those with an .htaccess file that references AuthKrbRealms, you will need to change the realm(s) so that the only one listed is ADS.IU.EDU. The inclusion of any other realms besides ADS.IU.EDU will result in a 500 Internal Server Error message.
