Veritas migrating behind Zeus load balancers
The purpose of this project is to move our central web servers behind two
Zeus ZXTM load balancers. This includes moving www.indiana.edu, www.iu.edu, www.iupui.edu,
www.iub.edu, www.iun.edu, www.iuk.edu and numerous virtual hosts in these domains (as well as some
.org domains). After this move, the load balancers will be between the web browser and the backend
web servers, balancing load to the backend servers as needed.
Because of the number of domains that need to be moved, we
will stage these moves over about two weeks. This staged approach will
also allow us to incrementally apply load to the load balancers so that we
can monitor their performance as load increases.
We will begin the move with www.iun.edu and www.iuk.edu (and their virtual
hosts) on Tuesday, July 26 at 6:00am.
Additional updates will be sent as an FYI as to the exact dates each set
of domains will be moved. We will also update the Support Center and the
webmasters for each of these domains.
